Maybe Im Just A Leech A Leechy Leech
in a way, maybe it would have been easier if in school we were all taught that we are slaves instead of this charade, pretending our lives are our own. ultimately, that's what we are - bound to this system and forced to work jobs we hate so we can eat and get things things we want. being a slave is the trade off, but it would have been nice to have been told this reality instead of pretending that we aren't sacrificing our time and energy in our short life spans for these things. and it's presented like there isn't another good alternative and that's true probably, but only because we haven't allowed for another opportunity. so if one person suffers under this system, then we all must suffer under it. anyone not participating in this self-harmful behavior is lazy or stupid or not wanting to contribute. and if you aren't useful, then the system wants you to no longer exist, make you suffer even, punish you. if can slip through if you have someone else supporting you, if their contribution is seen by society as worthy enough to supply you with income, but even then you are considered a leach. so we can be slaves or leeches i guess. and if you struggle with your slavery, you are expected to just eventually accept the way things are and . the human struggle seems to be primarily about trying to escape this slavery, but the system keeps devising new methods to continue our bondage through technology or propaganda. perhaps this is why communism/socialism was invented, to combat our slavery. though, it seems that communism has been used, maybe even bastardized, to exacerbate slavery through some ideal of collective ownership. whatever the system, the powers at be will manipulate it into methods of slavery. maybe our American society at some point was the best compromise, not really sure, but is it now? i find it difficult to preach values such as freedom and self-determination when our system takes advantage of so many around the world and attempts to keep up blind from it by declaring we are spreading freedom and democracy around the world by assassinating other world leaders and directly participating in coups. but i also think about bacteria in a dish all scrambling to gather all available resources before other bacteria can, animals killing one another for food, plants overshadowing others to reach sunlight. perhaps this is the natural order of things. but is that a cop out? isn't our own human existence constantly fighting against nature to mold it around our comforts and desires? but we seem to always maintain some degree of this primal natural order, sometimes less so, sometime more, throughout history. perhaps the key is maintaining and discovering such vast resources, a quantity which can satisfy the desires of all, with a system to precent those who simply want everything, all control for their own pleasure. but who get's to make that judgement? the most powerful? not sure if there is an answer to any of this rambling, just trying to thinking through these thoughts.
